What is asbestos?
Asbestos a mineral mined from the ground. It is highly resistant to heat and chemicals, making it a very good building product. Unfortunately however, its resistance also makes it dangerous when inhaled.
Could there be asbestos in my property?
Possibly, but that doesn’t mean it is unsafe. Asbestos used in a wide range of products, some of them more dangerous than others. Other factors to consider are how likely the item is to be damaged or disturbed. If you are concerned, contact us for more information.
I own a commercial property. What are my responsibilities?
Regulation 4 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 states that buildings constructed prior to 2000 should have an asbestos management plan in place. To compile the asbestos management plan, an asbestos survey will be carried out. We can help not only with your initial survey, but also help you to compile your management plan to ensure full compliance.

For individual samples, we can provide the results within 24hrs. For surveys, we aim to provide the full report within 3-5 working days, or sooner if required.
